American Cancer Society Relay for Life this Weekend!

Just a reminder that the Cache Valley Relay for Life event starts today, Friday, July 8th from 12:00 noon and goes until Saturday, July 9th until 12:00 noon. It is being held at the Forrester Acres Park 100 North 400 West to 600 West in Smithfield.

Schedule:

Friday, July 8th
12:00 pm Kick-Off Event
6:00 pm Survivor Ceremony and Survivor lap
8:00 to 10:00 pm Games, dinners, entertainment, etc.
10:00 pm Luminaria Ceremony
10:30 to 7:00 am The Relay continues all night, Cancer never sleeps so neither will we during this event

Corbin Church, Miche Bag CEO and Jennie Platt, designer will be there Friday from about 5:30 to 8:30. I would love to have you meet them.

There will be fun activities for the kids. T-shirts are still available and will be for sale in our booth #37. They are $15.00 with $5.00 from each shirt going to the American Cancer Society. We will have Miche Hope shells, bases and Hope purse charms available to purchase during this event also.

I can't believe how fast June flew by and that it's time for new shells again! The new releases are cute . . . I hope you like them!

Fiona: Big Premium priced shell. Black with a black/white sash. The sash can be interchanged with your own scarves or sashes for a personalized or seasonal look. Very cute!

Miche has been retiring shells a lot more quickly than in the past, so if you see new shells that you like I'd recommend that you order quickly because they are often gone in a flash! Sales of the Mini bag have skyrocketed this year and the new mini shells are selling out very quickly. The Demi from last month is already sold out (I have a couple on hand and can be ordered on my site www.michebag.com/stephanie_higbee). Sunny, which is new for June, was quickly snatched and I may not have any on hand for several weeks.

I hope to soon post a list of shells that are retired and no longer available. The list is getting longer and longer! I'd recommend that you check my site or email me about any shell that you've been eyeing because chances are it won't be available for long!

New HOPE Shells!

Miche Bag is bringing HOPE to cancer patients again in 2011! I'm so excited to unveil their new HOPE shells! There are two patterns: a silver with yellow print and a white with black print and pink and blue accents.

Miche Bag will continue to donate $5 from each HOPE shell sale to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. So, buy one knowing that you are helping advance cancer research!

These shells are all premium priced and can be purchased individually or bundled.

The previous HOPE shell styles have been dropped to half price and there are very limited quantities available, so contact me ASAP for availability if you're interested.

More great news . . . Miche Home Shows has dropped the price of the Delilah and Lucy diaper bag style shells down to the regular big shell price! That's quite a savings! Although these shells come with changing pads, they can be used for so many other things like crafts, beach bag, school, and more! Also, for you big bag fanatics out there, Miche has also come out with a big shell closet organizer! It holds 6 shells nicely in your closet! I can't wait to finally get my big shells organized and more accessable! The organizers make it so easy to quickly grab a new shell and they protect your shells from color transfer, which can happen when shells are stored next to each other--especially in warm weather! This is what you've been waiting for . . . the introduction of a new round of shells! Don't you love the first of each month when you can see what's new in the Miche world? I do :-)

Miche is starting to bring out the BLING! Check out these cute new charms that can be clipped on purse handles, on key chains, or even on a necklace!

These cute charms are very affordable (email me for price lists), so they're great for gifts or for your own indulgence!

Also, a few updates on the new July shells (see prior post for photos):

Lucy (big shell) and Brandi (classic shell) are the first 'Luxe' shells! Lucy includes a diaper changing pad and has several outer pockets for diapers, wipes, bottles, or whatever you need to carry (not just for moms, ladies!). The fabric can also be wiped up very easily! Brandie has a line of rivet accents on both sides and has a kind of western feel--I love it!

Sophie (big shell) is premium, but Chloe (classic size) is classic priced.

The cute new Cream, Croc, and Red Knot handles are still coming . . . I'll keep you posted! They are going to look awesome with so many shells, so I can't wait!

The MINI'S ARE IN! They are 8" wide and 6" tall (about 4" thick). The Sarah shell is the only premium priced shell, but they are all so affordable and super cute for kids or adults that like to carry a smaller purse (perfect for a night out when you don't need to carry your whole life with you!). Mini's can be purchased individually or in bundles, so email me for prices! We anticipate that new shells will be released each month for the mini's.

Don't forget about the Half Price Big Shells: Deanna, Julia, Mary, and Cheryl. Get one at a great price before they are gone! My Half Price Shell of the Month for July is the Cream Vivian. It looks cute on all of the bases!

I couldn't wait to reveal the new Miche shells for July! I don't have any pricing information or the release dates, but it'll be posted as soon as I hear anything!

Lucy is the first DIAPER BAG STYLE shell! I haven't seen it in person, but the photo looks like it could be used as a regular bag too! I think it just has additional pockets.

And, introducing the new style of MINI MICHE! They look a little more square than the initial style, plus they have a longer handle with chains. They look cute! I'm not sure how they'll be bundled or if they'll continue to make additional shells. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HAVING A MINI MICHE, LET ME KNOW ASAP SO I CAN GET A COUNT!

I was able to get a few more cream bases today! Get one for FREE by hosting a $2500 party while supplies last! Can also be purchased individually. There has been a huge demand for cream bases and they may not last long!

I forgot in my last post to mention that the summer M.Bellish'd watches and cuffs are in! I can't wait to see them Thursday (the photos are super cute, so I'm sure they'll be even better in person!). I'll post photos soon!

The new cuffs are about 1/2 narrower than the original cuffs. They are also adjustable to fit any wrist!

I have a few exciting updates! First of all, congratulations to Julie Heiner for winning the drawing for the free Liberty shell! She actually already has a Liberty, so she selected a different shell . . . which means that I may have another Liberty giveaway soon! Stay tuned!

For those waiting on purse organizers, they are back in stock! The Madelyn's and Elizabeth's will also be back in stock soon. We anticipate the new purse handles (cream, red, and croc styles) will be available at the end of the month. I have all of the new June shells in stock now!

As mentioned in the last post, the Yellow Sheila's didn't last long as the Shell of the Month! I have a couple more on hand, so let me know if you'd like one. Because of their popularity, they cannot be bundled and can only be purchased at half price if additional shells are ordered.

New Shells and Straps for June!

Thanks to those of you that responded last week with your favorite Miche Shell! Everyone that responded was put into a hat and my son drew the winner . . . Ericka Campbell of Idaho Falls! She selected the Tori shell and it should arrive at her home any day! Congrats, Ericka!

Before I get into the new shell information, I want to let you know about another drawing I'll be doing this Memorial Day weekend. Everyone that makes a purchase from me between Friday, May 28th and Monday, May 31st, will be put into a drawing for a free LIBERTY shell! Actually, I'll put a ticket in the bucket for every $20 you spend! The Liberty shells retired several months ago and are now considered vintage. They are definitely in demand (they sell for high dollar on eBay), and are hard to find. I've attached a photo--they're really cute. It's a perfect shell to show your patriotism during upcoming holidays!

Now for the new June shells . . . I may have them as early as June 3rd (or at least by June 10th)! The new classic shells are Alyssa, Mindi, and Naomi. Alyssa is premium priced, Mindi and Naomi are classic priced. I think the Mindi is my favorite for June--I love the blue! The Alyssa is the same fabric as the Robin big shell.

The Big Shells are Grace and Abbie. I love the Grace! I was really surprised that neither of them are premium priced because I thought they would be for sure.

Miche is also introducing new handles in June! They have cream, red knot, and croc handles that are interchangeable with the classic or the big bag! I don't know about you, but I'm really excited to have handles that better match some of the new big shells! They'll be available later in the month.

The half-price Shell of the Month for June is the Yellow Sheila. This shell has also been retired for several months and we thought they were completely sold out, but our distributor found a couple of cases recently while doing inventory! Those cases may not last long, so let me know ASAP if you want to snag one of these super cute, very limited shells!

Hey, I wanted to let everyone know that ALL of the May shells are now available! I have the classics now and will be picking the big shells up later this week. I also have a couple of the Limited Edition Cream shells on hand. They're going fast and will not be produced again until at least next spring, so let me know ASAP if you want one! So many shells look AWESOME on it! Look at recent posts for photos of the May shells!

In addition to offering trendy M.Bellish'd accessories, Miche Home Shows (our distributorship) is now offering wallets. They are not Miche brand. Miche will be coming out with them soon, but since so many customers have asked for them, we wanted to find other wallets to offer in the meantime. They are about 4 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches. We purchase them in assortments and we're not guaranteed to get the same fabric each time. So, to order please let me know what color you want and I'll be sure to order one if I don't have it on hand. They are very cute and quite sturdy. They fit checkbooks! I have another fundraiser coming up on May 22nd. We're Chasing the Cure for Cancer and is all about my little 3 year old neighbor, Chase, that was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. It will be at The Sharing Place, 1695 E 3300 S, SLC, from 2 - 8 pm. Please come to this mini-carnival (fun for kids) and help support a great cause. I will be raffling off at least one Hope shell! Just a reminder that a portion of the proceeds from each Hope Shell sell will be donated to Huntsman Cancer Institute! They are hoping to raise $1 Million to donate to HCI this year!

Free Tax Day and Other Events!

Hello, all! I just wanted to let you know about a few events I will be participating in over the next several weeks!

First of all, we all know that tomorrow is April 15th . . . TAX DAY! Ughhhh (that's all I'll say about that!). I'd like to give you all a small break from taxes and I'll be paying the sales tax on any Miche items purchased from me on April 15th and 16th (that means no tax for you!). The half-priced Shell of the Month for April is the Brown Ellie! It has been a very popular shell since it looks great on either the black or brown base. It is retiring soon, so get yours now!

There are several shells that have retired or will be retiring soon, so if you've had your eye on any of them, let me know ASAP before they're gone (some are limited to what I have in inventory)! Last Saturday we held the first ever conference for Miche Home Shows! It was so great to get to know the management team and other reps better. They offered great insight and unveiled exciting additions to our product line. I have to say that one of the highlights of the day was when I bid $4000 in Miche Money for a Marilyn shell that is signed by Miche herself (Michelle Romero, the Founder of Miche Bag)! I had a tiny bit of Miche Money left to get a couple of other things, but I'm so excited about the new addition to my vintage shell collection! This is a photo of a Marilyn. I'll try to add a photo of my signed one soon! I love it!

I have more SUPER EXCITING news, but will post it separately!

Introducing . . . the new April shells!

Candace is available through home show reps only--it will not be available to purchase through Miche's website. It's a beautiful copper ostrich faux leather slouch. It's very elegant and so cute! It's premium priced.

Sabrina is a limited edition shell and is not premium priced. It's very bright and perfect for spring and summer.

I'm so excited about the beautiful purple Natalie shell! It's not premium priced either! It's pleated with turqouise piping about half way up.

For the big bag we have Robin and Danielle. They are both premium priced. Robin is yellow, white and black plaid. Super cute!

Danielle is burnt orange and cream. I'm excited to have new color options!

These shells will be available early April, so let me know if you want to be among the first to own these great shells!

New March Shells

I'm so excited to show you the new March shells . . . they're so cute!

First off, for the Big Bag, we have Lauren. It's an off white leather with black velvet flower design . . . very elegant! It is premium priced.

Although similar to the Lauren, the Elizabeth is for the classic bag and is more of a taupe color. Despite the quality, it is not premium priced!

The Madelyn is purple and silver. The silver fabric is the same used on the Allie big shell (yellow), so you can imagine the texture. The big front pocket is perfect for holding keys or a cell phone!

The Lauren and Elizabeth are available for purchase immediately and I anticipate that the Madelyn will be available next week (although I can take orders for it now). It is premium priced.

Who couldn't stand to save a little green this March? I want to help you by offering the Darla for Half Price! Let me know if you want to take advantage of the great savings . . . it would look great in an Easter basket next to the new March shells! It is really cute on either the brown or black base.

For those waiting for the wide adjustable Mailman Strap . . . it is back! The adjustable strap can be used in conjuction with the Conversion Kit, or without it. It's my favorite strap, so I hope you're all as excited as I am that it's back!

February New Shells

It's hard to believe it's already time to introduce new shells again . . . but I'm so glad it is! I get excited every month to show you the fun new styles. There are also a few other things that I'll post separately!

I introduced the Hope shells to you a couple of weeks ago. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Cancer Awareness 'Hope' shell will be donated by Miche to The Huntsman Cancer Institute. Their goal is to donate $1 Million! Also, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to someone who is in need within our distributorship. It's a great cause and I hope that each of you will consider helping Miche with their goal by purchasing a Big or Classic size Hope shell.

There are two new classic shells for February, Tori and Hayley. Tori is deep pink, black, and gray plaid and is a slouch style.

You will all be excited about Hayley, since it was designed similar to the Oakley shell for the big bag! It's the same pewter fabric used on the Oakley and it is a super cute slouch style! It is a premium shell.

Because of the Hope shell launch, there is only one new big bag shell for February. Laney is the same style as the Katheryn (dark brown), but is a beautiful rose color. It is a premium shell.

I can order the Hayley and Tori shells this week, so I'll have them by Thursday. The Laney has been delayed, but hopefully I'll be able to pick it up the following week! I also have Hope shells available.

'Hope' Cancer Awareness Shell

I am so excited to tell all of you about Miche's newest shell, the 'Hope' shell. Miche Bags has been so successful (thanks to all of you) and they wanted to give back, so they created an inspiring Cancer Awareness shell and will be giving a portion of the proceeds from each Hope shell to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. They hope to reach at least $1 Million! Considering they sold 91,000 of one popular shell last year, I know that they'll reach their goal with the support of you great ladies!

Last night we were able to pick up our rep samples of the Hope shells and hear the story behind it's creation. The designer personally spent time with several Cancer survivors for inspiration and what she came up with is awesome! The shells have quotes from these sweet ladies printed on them and each shell comes with a tag that includes a photo and inspirational phrase from one of the survivors.

I think it's safe to say that each of us has been touched in one way or another by this devastating disease. Personally, I have had several family members diagnosed:

My mother's father passed away from cancer (a down-winder).
My mother's brother passed away from cancer.
My mother's sister passed away from breast cancer.
Another aunt is a breast cancer survivor.
My father is a survivor of nasal cancer.
My uncle is a prostate cancer survivor.
My brother in law is a recent prostate cancer survivor.
A coworker is a skin cancer survivor (says he faught in the Battle of Melanoma).

There are other acquaintances that have also suffered the effects of cancer . . . some have survived and some have not. Many of the survivors are so blessed to still be with us (and we are blessed to have them), but will never have the same quality of life. The bottom line is that we need more research and more resources to study the disease! All of us can help in the fight for a cure by helping Miche reach their goal!

The Hope shells are both premium. However, they can both be bundled with other shells to get the bundle discounts (or purchase several Hope shells to share with your friends and family who also want to help combat Cancer)--what a great opportunity to show your support to the Cancer survivors in your life.

January New Shells and Hostess Benefits

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas and a memorable New Year Celebration! We had a lot of fun this year with our two young kids . . . they really rekindle the spirit of the season!

Since Corporate Miche took some time off for the holidays, I decided to get some much needed rest as well! I'm excited to jump back into things in 2010! There have been a few changes in our distributorship and you may see a few changes with the new year, but so far it looks like the changes will be good.

The new shells for January are super cute and I can't wait to have them in my hands! The Erin shell is available now for the Big Bag at the premium price level. (I know Hillary is in a random spot, but I couldn't get Blogger to cooperate--just pretend that it's down by Katherine!).

November New Shells!

Even though October flew by in the blink of an eye, it seems like it's been a while since I was able to post photos of new shells! This month we have two new Premium shells for the classic base and two new BIG Bag shells! The Belle is a deep purple slouch bag with zipper accents and the Linda is a black textured leather with full sides.

For the Big Base we have the Cheryl, a burgundy leather with front pockets, and the Mary, a deep blue leather with pleats.

The photos on the flyer are pretty small, so here they are a little larger!

I haven't been able to pull up larger photos for Mary and Cheryl, so I'll replace these smaller photos as soon as I can.

I am taking orders for these shells now and they will be available on November 5th.

Bountiful Fall Boutique

This weekend my sister-in-law Julie and I will have a Miche booth at a Fall Boutique in Bountiful. The address is 2200 S Orchard Dr and it is from 11 am to 7 pm each day! Come by to see the big bags and fun new October shells! There will be several other vendors there too!

Finally . . . here are photos of the first 6 Big Bag shells!

The short handles come with the base and the long handle would be purchased separately. Unlike the classic Miche Bag, the Big Bag will not currently be offered in bundles.

Doctor Oz

I have always loved to watch Doctor Oz on Oprah and am so excited that he has his own show now! Germy purses were among his topics today. One of the ways he showed that you can avoid getting so many germs is to hang your purse on a hanger from restaurant tables! As mentioned in an ealier post, Miche carries these and they're cheap at just $6! Every purse owner should have one!

Today Miche released a couple of photos of the much anticipated BIG BAG! Here are the first glimpses:

Aren't they cute? We haven't received an exact date of availability, but I'm hearing rumblings that they'll be out in October. They are going to release 6 big shells to begin with, then 2 new shells each month. I can't wait to see the other big shells! I'll post them as they become available!

Today I discovered Miche's Purse Hanger! It allows you to hang your purse from the restaurant table! No more wondering if you dare set it on the table or the floor (yuck)! As my husband said . . . I don't know how we made it this long without one (although I sensed a bit of sarcasm from him, I am 100% serious)! It's definitely my new best friend! The hook rolls around the base so it fits snugly inside your bag. The best part is that it's not even $10! I wish restaurant tables came equiped with these.

Another great accessory is the shell organizer. It holds twelve shells so they're quickly accessible. The hook will hang directly on the coat rack or it could hang inside the door with a hook. They just reduced the price on the organizer so it's well under $20, even with tax and shipping!
